On 7 April 2024, on the sprawling campus of the University of Lagos, British-Nigerian travel influencer and content creator, Pelumi Nubi, was celebrated for completing her two-month-long solo drive from London to Lagos. One woman crossed 17 countries, including most of West Africa, in a tiny purple Peugeot 206, fondly called Lumi.
