Atlas, our platform for protecting creative copyrights, now helps writers license and earn from their work, whether first published in The Republic or elsewhere, provided they hold the licensing rights.

Here is how it works: writers list their work on Atlas, and publications, organizations and businesses can then discover it and license it, subject to the permissions and terms attached to each piece. Listings are non-exclusive, and writers retain ownership of their work.

Questions on licensing, earnings, permissions and managing your account are answered in our FAQ for writers.

We want the people who tell ambitious African stories to reach new readers, keep control of their work and earn from it long after publication.
