These days, there are so many books being published by African writers that it can be hard to keep up. It seems that every other week, a new book is announced—whether it’s a debut, a follow-up to a successful first book, or a major comeback after a long hiatus. Already, scores of
books have been announced for 2025. While this is no doubt a great thing—the more, after all, the merrier—it also facilitates a situation where literary gems can be buried beneath a flood of new releases.
